The Pioneer Account is a transactional account that is specially designed for students. It is easy to open, offers a low banking fees and value adds associated with students most pressing needs.
She explained that during the time that they are in college/university they learn to do more with less and people who learn to manage their money well when they have limited funds are more likely to manage money well in adulthood. It is also a great time to learn about budgeting.

The Pioneer Account takes the vital components into consideration that truly matters to you as a student; low cost and the ease of banking on your devices,” she stressed.
Pioneer Account holders are able to save as much as possible and only spend on their essential needs, as such the account comes with 10 free ATM withdrawals at Standard Bank ATMS countrywide, free cash deposits, as well as free balance enquiry and mini statements on Cellphone Banking, Internet Banking and the Standard Bank App.
It also offers free POS purchases (both local and international), free Debit card purchases, free Inter-account transfers (Internet Banking, Cellphone Banking, ATM, SBN App) and N$50.00 worth of airtime, or electricity with their first deposit into the account.
The Pioneer account has been designed to give students more time for studying and less time for day-to-day banking
To qualify for this account, you need to be a registered student at a recognised tertiary institution and should be between the ages of 18 to 30 years old.
