OSHAKATI, July 21 – Police in Oshakati are investigating a case of reckless driving after the driver of a black Volkswagen Polo hatchback lost control of the vehicle at around midnight on Wednesday 20 July 2022 and crashed at the Okandjengendi location in Oshakati.
According to Inspector Thomas Aiyambo the Volkswagen Polo hatchback, registration number N 35873 SH, was travelling towards Ongwediva when the driver lost control of the vehicle which veered off the road and hit a boundary wall and nearby houses.
There were two occupants in the vehicle and both sustained serious injuries and are in critical condition at Oshakati Intermediate Hospital where they were admitted.
A case of reckless and, or negligent driving was opened at Oshakati police station and the investigations are continuing.
