NEW DELHI, Sept. 29 — Indian security forces killed three armed rebels, locally called Naxals, in the country’s central state of Chhattisgarh, confirmed a local police officer on Monday.
The killings took place during an anti-Naxal operation in the state’s Kanker district.
All three dead were senior leaders and carried a monetary award on their heads.
The anti-Naxal operation was jointly carried out by security personnel belonging to the Border Security Force and the local troops of the District Reserve Guard.(Xinhua)
