WINDHOEK, 03 SEP – A 17-year-old boy died on the spot here on Sunday after he was allegedly stabbed on the left side of his neck with a knife.
The incident happened at about 22h00 in Omulunga Street at Hakahana residential area.
A media release issued by the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) on Monday said it is alleged that the suspect and the deceased had an argument before a fight erupted between them.
The deceased is identified as Epson Eiseb and his next of kin have been informed.
The suspect is still at large and police investigations into the matter continue.
In another incident, a 29-year-old woman identified as Losina Niho died on the spot after she was allegedly stabbed on the left side of her ribs with a knife at a residence in Oshakati Street at Havana Informal Settlement on Sunday.
It is alleged that the deceased was trying to stop a fight between the 47-year-old suspect who was arguing with another person and in the process stabbed her.
The incident happened at about 21h45.
The suspect handed himself to the police and the deceased’s next of kin have been informed.
In a separate incident, a 28-year-old man sustained serious injuries on Friday, after he was allegedly stabbed three times on the left cheek, left shoulder and stomach below the button belly with an Okapi knife by a male suspect.
The incident happened at about 21:30 at the cucashops at Omashekediva village in the Oshana Region.
The suspect is still at large and police investigations continue.
