WINDHOEK, 15 MAY – A 9-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 23-year-old man on Friday at the Otjomitjira village in the Kamdescha policing area.
The incident, according to the crime investigations coordinator of the Namibian Police Force in Kunene, Deputy Commissioner Rudolf Kanyetu, was only reported to the Kamanjab police on Sunday evening.
It is alleged that the suspect called the victim to the house in which he was.
Upon reaching there, the suspect allegedly grabbed the victim by the arm, pulled her in and raped her.
The suspect was arrested and was expected to appear in the Kamanjab Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Investigations continue.
