OSHAKATI, 23 May 2022 – Police in Oshana arrested two men, an Angolan (23) and a Namibian (27), at a car wash at Uupindi location, Oshakati west at around 15h41 on Sunday after crashing a vehicle they took without permission.
According to a report by Oshana police spokesman, Inspector Thomas Aiyambo, a taxi driver (28), from Evululuko’s location in Oshakati east, took his car to a car wash at Uupindi. There it’s alleged the two suspects, both employees at the car wash, drove away with the complainant’s vehicle and later collided with a container at Ikaku Kanangula village after the driver lost control.
The vehicle involved is a black Honda hatchback and is valued at N$55 000.
The whole front part is totally damaged, the report said.
The suspects are being detained at the Oshakati police station. – Namibia Daily News
