WINDHOEK, MARCH 29 – The Ministry of Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare has said that there will be a delay in payment of Social Grants in the month of April. Old Age Pension and Disability grants recipients who receive the grants through NAMPOST and banking institutions will be affected, while those who receive cash grants will not have anything to fear.
“The Ministry hereby informs all social grants recipients who receive their grants through NAMPOST and Banks that there will be a delay experiencee and their social grants will not be disbursed as early as usual. The Ministry deeply regrets this delay and technical difficulties,” read a statement from the Ministry.
The statement indicated that normal grant disbursement will commence as usual in May. The Ministry also urged beneficiaries to use their social grants for their welfare and their families.
