WINDHOEK, JUNE 18 – The 2019 edition of the Nedbank Citi Dash is set to take place on Sunday, 23 June 2019. The event is set to be Namibia’s largest participatory sporting events of the year and will once again coincides with International Olympics Day.
The popular race, which takes place along the Independence Avenue in Windhoek, has already received an over whelming response from sports bodies, schools, the private sector as well as the general public.
With options of 5km and 10km, running or walking, the Nedbank Citi Dash is the perfect event for a family outing. Designed to showcase Namibia’s running talent, the route will take athletes up and down Independence Avenue, starting at the Zoo Park in the city center, going down to the Simon de Witt Bridge and returning to back to the center of town.

The elite 10 km race will have top Namibian athletes compete for the honors of first, second and third place in the Male and Female Open category. The top three wheelchair and visually impaired athletes will also receive honors. The race starts at 7h00 with the cut off times at 7h50.
This year prizes will also be given to the top school, corporate team and running club.
The City of Windhoek will avail essential services to the event including the Windhoek City Police Service – WCPS, Traffic Department, Fire Department and the Parks and Recreation Office’s services.
Entry tickets for the Nedbank Citi Dash are still available on the Events Today website until, Thursday, 20 June at 18h00. Registration and number collection will take place on Saturday, 22 June from 14h00 to 17h00 at the Zoo Park. – NDN Staffer
