Oshakati, Oct. 27 – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says expos are organized to serve different purposes, among others, they serve as an opportunity to understand the needs and the available market.
They also serve as a platform to network, learn and thus increase one’s business acumen, she when she officially opened the Helao Nafidi business expo today.
“For the general public, it is also a time for leisure and entertainment. When all these are put together, they will make sense to the social and economic development of the country,” she said.
“Events such as these, demonstrate the capabilities of our communities and the great potential of our nation at large, they also serve as an assuring reminder, that Namibia has all it takes to achieve prosperity,” she said.
The expo is being held under the theme “One Team, One Aim to Goal the Hidden Treasure”.
She said this theme is calling for a strong collaboration between all stakeholders of Helao Nafidi as a town to realize its full economic potential to serve the residents of the town and to make a significant contribution to the development of our country.
It is, therefore, important to understand and accept the reality, that all components represented here today, be it the honourary guests, organizers, exhibitors, traders both small, medium and large and the public at large, that at the end of the day, it’s your participation that will bring out the hidden treasure of Helao Nafidi town through this expo, she added.
According to Nandi-Ndaitwah, all stakeholders need to realize and bring out their contribution in full force.
“In other words, it is you, the organizers, exhibitors, traders and visitors, that without your dedication and commitment, all the effort put to stage this expo would have been in vain,” Nandi-Ndaitwah said.
