WINDHOEK, July 20 — The Tafel Larger Brave Warriors arrived at a warm reception from football lovers and the Minister of Sports, Agnes Tjongarero – on Tuesday evening, following their outstanding performance during the recently concluded COSAFA 2022 Cup that took place in Durban, South Africa.
The Brave Warriors thrilled their way to the finals against all odds but settled for the silver medal after an agonizingly 1-0 extra time loss to Chipolopolo of Zambia.
Despite the loss, the Warriors seemed to have made the country proud, judging by people’s reactions.
“This Tafel Larger Brave Warriors Team is young and has demonstrated a lot of tenacity with many youthful players. The team has indeed discharged their national duty at the COSAFA Cup 2022 with distinction,” said the chairman of the FIFA Normalization Committee, Bisey /Uirab. – Namibia Daily News.
