MOSCOW, Sept. 12 — Russia has confirmed 18,554 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, taking the nationwide tally to 7,140,070, the official monitoring and response center said Sunday.
The nationwide death toll grew by 788 to 192,749, while the number of recoveries increased by 14,497 to 6,389,657.
Meanwhile, Moscow reported 1,592 new cases, taking the city’s total caseload to 1,586,173.
According to media reports, more than 39.6 million Russians have been fully vaccinated so far. – Xinhua
