KEETMANSHOOP, Aug. 29 — The fun-filled NBC Kaisames Fm community tournament that was held at Keetmanshoop came to an end with Tura All Stars lifting the men’s soccer title by beating Charlton Forest 2-0.
Both teams that made it to the men’s soccer finals are from Windhoek while Keetanshoop won the netball games beating Erongo 17-14.
The winning teams walked away with a cash prize of N$20 000 each.
Besides the games, there were also stalls from which SMEs from the community sold their wares.
People came in numbers from different parts of the country including Windhoek, Erongo towns, Okahandja and the Omaheke region.
Hardap region was represented by individuals and sports teams.
According to organisers, the tournament will be hosted by Otjiwarongo next year but this still has to be confirmed.
