RUNDU,SEPT 09,The Julinho Athletic Women’s Soccer Team is facing a major setback after the club’s management forced the resignation of head coach Korea Roseman, leading to the departure of 20 out of 25 players.
According to Roseman, he founded the women’s team after FIFA regulations required premier league clubs to have a women’s squad, and he brought his players to Julinho after being approached by Nelson Luis the owner of Julinho Athletic Football Club,Following his exit, most of the players followed him, leaving the team with only five players, making it difficult to field a full team.
The club’s spokesperson, Poulus “Ngula” Haingura, released a statement denying that Roseman was fired, claiming he resigned. However, the statement acknowledged the challenges caused by his departure and assured that the club would take steps to ensure stability and protect the players. Coaches Menezes and Nelson himself have been appointed to oversee the transition.
Roseman disputes the club’s version, showing evidence of the player exodus following his forced resignation. The incident has sparked concerns about the club’s future and the welfare of its players – Namibia Daily News
