ACCRA, March 14 — At least eight people were killed and a number of others injured in Ghana on Sunday when a bus crashed into a container that had fallen partially on the road in an earlier accident, authorities said.
The crash occurred in Asuboi, a community along the Accra-Kumasi highway, said Ebenezer Tetteh, spokesman for the Eastern Regional Police Command.
“Eight passengers died on the spot,” the police, adding that the injured are being treated in hospital while investigations are underway to determine the cause of the crash. (Xinhua)
