Windhoek, Nov. 8 – President Hage Geingob flew to El-sheikh in Egypt on Sunday to join other world leaders to discuss climate change at the 27th session of the parties to the United Nations framework convention on climate change UNFCCC COP 27.
Geingob was invited to the summit by Egyptian president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The summit will emphasize the importance of world leaders in implementing and transforming key climate-related decisions and to maintain a high-level commitment to climate change issues.
Namibia is committed to combating the effects of climate change and is on the road to producing clean energy through “green hydrogen”. President Geingob will address the summit and also meet other leaders.
