MARIENTAL, Aug. 24 — The case of culpable homicide for which Mariental farmer John Meyer is standing trial has been postponed to 24 November 2022.
Meyer is accused of running over Hendrina Amupolo at his farm while chasing her, her mother and several other people who were allegedly collecting beans from his field without his consent.
The suspect spotted them and he allegedly chased them with his motor vehicle, and in the process ran over Amupolo who had fallen. She sustained internal injuries to which she later succumbed at the Mariental state hospital.
