Erongo Region emergency services providers went through a simulation exercise organized by the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development on Thursday, to test their capability when responding to an accident scene.
The exercise consisted of a mock accident scene involving a bus carrying passengers and an oil tanker on the B2 highway at the old roadblock site outside Walvis Bay.
Ambulance and/or paramedics, firefighting services, traffic control, the Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (MVA) and members of the police force participated in the stimulation.
āIām very impressed with the level of skill and the response time demonstrated by all the emergency service respondents,ā said Deputy Minister of Urban and Rural Development Natalia Goagoses.
