Cave collapses on 10 year old
WINDHOEK, Oct. 16 – Yesterday, a female person identified as 10 year old Zemburuke Tjipose died instantly after sand from a cave fell on her. According to a crime report issued by Nampol Public Relations Division, the police have launched an inquest into an alleged incident that included the deceased playing with other children in a riverbed where water runs and there are some caves. The next of kin has been informed and police investigations continue.
Elsewhere, police in the Omusati Region have launched an inquest after a female toddler identified as three-year old Ndalulilwa Ester Shetuuke, was found dead under a tree inside their homestead. She was left in the company of a seven-year old boy by her grandmother. She was found at Egundjilo Village while the cause of death is unknown and a post-mortem is yet to be conducted to determine the cause of death. The next of kin have been informed.
A case of murder and assault with intent to do grievously bodily harm has been opened against a 34 year old South African male who allegedly murdered a 32-year old South African male who died on the spot after he was stabbed once on the chest and once on the back. The incident allegedly occured at a house in Naute Street, Goreangab Dam Location, when the suspect allegedly had an argument with the deceased and his other friend after visiting a bar nearby the residence.
Furthermore, it is alleged that another male suspect was also stabbed by the suspect. The deceased’s next of kin has not yet been informed, though the suspect is arrested and expected to appear in court tomorrow.
In Otjomuise, police continue to investigate cases of Culpable Homicide and Driving without a drivers license after a female identified as Faikie Ogurus died on the spot.
On Saturday at about 18:30 on the C28 Road, Dan Vilijoen area at about 42 Km from Windhoek, the unauthorized driver lost control of the vehicle they were travelling in causing it to overturn. The driver fled the scene. The deceased’s next of kin is informed and police investigations continue.
On Saturday, at about 15:35 on the C15 Road between Stampriet and Gochas at about 20 Km from Stampriet, a female driver identified as Sonett Beukes 25 years old and Bride Tjitaura 35 years old male person died on the spot after the driver allegedly lost control over the vehicle they were travelling in causing it to overturn. Their next of kins were informed and police investigations continue.
Yesterday, in Oshakati, a male person died on the spot after he was ran over by the driver of a vehicle. The driver allegedly fled the scene and police are investigating a case of Culpable Homicide. The deceased’s next of kin have not been informed.
In Kahenge, the body of 77 year old Kampanza Egidius Hausiku was found dead at Siya Village by a seven year old boy who informed his grandmother The body was discovered on Saturday while the cause of death is unknown until a post mortem will be conducted to establish the cause. The next of kin was informed and police investigations continue.
Meanwhile in Mururani, police are investigating a case of Murder after a female identified as Sindendere paula Kandambo, 24, died on the spot after she was hacked to death by her 30 year old ex-boyfriend yesterday, in the OU-Cordon Location.
It is alleged that the deceased was hacked on the neck and hands and the next of kin was informed. The suspect was arrested and police investigations continue.
A case of Rape is being investigated in Onayena after on Saturday at about 22:00 in Onandjamba Village, Onyuulaye, a 15 year old girl was allegedly raped by a 38 year old Angolan male suspect who is said to be a domestic worker at their homestead. The suspect was arrested and is expected to appear in court on Tuesday 17/10/2017. Police investigations continue. – NDN Staffer
