KAMBWA TRADING, OOCT & SUPPORT e.V. DONATE BOOKS TO ELOOLO SCHOOL.

DONATION: TEXT BOOKS AND TEACHER’S GUIDES TO ELOOLO COMBINED SCHOOL
Ondangwa, April 28–Kambwa Trading CC, in collaboration with Support Ulm e.V. and the Ohorongo Otavi Community
Trust (OOCT) donated textbooks and teacher’s guides to Eloolo Combined School,in Ondangwa.
The donation consists of 95 Grade 4 textbooks and teacher’s guides, with a total value of
N$ 13,000.
Eloolo Combined School covers from pre-school to Grade 11 and currently hosts 801 pupils.
“The need for study material and books is huge,” says principal Emilian Shaanika.
“We are very grateful for the collaboration between private sector (OOCT & Support e.V. &
Kambwa Trading) and the Ministry of Education to assist us with these challenges,” she said.
The donation is the result of a commitment made by Support Ulm e.V. and the Ohorongo Otavi
Community Trust to the Ministry of Education, to support identified schools with school books and
teacher guides. The donation is part of a bigger initiative to distribute more than 1,750 books during
March and April 2021, with a total combined value of N$ 243,000.
Kambwa Trading CC, a loyal Ohorongo Cement customer, selected Eloolo Combined School as
beneficiary of the donation, as per directive received from the Ministry of Education.

“The need is great and the pupils are many. We cannot expect that Government alone carry the
full weight of the education responsibilities of our nation. You must study hard using these study
aids and make us proud with your results,” said Mr David Sheehama David, from Kambwa Trading.
“Companies like Ohorongo Cement and Support e.V. enable us to make this donation possible
today, so can we get a big OMAKE for OOCT and Support e.V.,” said Mr David.

The support to education already started in 2019, and up to date more than 1,800 school books,
covering the subjects of Mathematics, Natural Science, Social Studies, English and Afrikaans for
grade 4 -7 were distributed.

donation possible. The pupils are eager to learn and these books are shaping our future leaders,”
said Shaanika.
Support Ulm e.V., a German non-profit organization, has organized various fundraising activities
throughout the years to raise funds which is again re-invested into various projects benefiting the
Namibian population.
