DUBLIN, Jan. 9 -- The derived gross saving ratio of Irish households went up slightly in the third quarter of last year, reaching 10.7 percent, according to data released by the country's Central Statistics Office (CSO) on Thursday. The derived saving is the difference between the adjusted series of household disposable income and final expenditure of households. In the third quarter of 2019, the seasonally adjusted gross disposable income of Irish households stood at 29.77 billion euros (33 billion U.S. dollars), up 1.3 percent when compared with the second quarter of 2019, said the CSO. The gross consumption expenditure of Irish households in the third quarter of 2019 was 26.585 billion euros, up 0.7 percent over the previous quarter, it said. The gross disposable income of Irish households exceeded their gross expenditure by 3.185 billion euros in the third quarter of last year, said the CSO, adding that the gross saving ratio of Irish households in the third quarter of 2019 was up 0.5 percentage points when compared with the previous quarter.
