No relegation in Namibia Premier League this season
WINDHOEK, May 12 — Namibia Football Association (NFA)/FIFA Normalization Committee has said that there will be no promotion/relegation this season in the Namibia Premier League (NPL) due to the lack of funds.
Interim General Secretary of the NFA Franco Cosmos said, “How can there be a relegation and promotion if there is no first and second division leagues?”
Cosmos said they are expecting to have the lower division leagues in August when the new soccer season starts.
The NPL is expected to end in May this year.
The NPL consists of 15 clubs this season after Young African football club was kicked out for using a player with a false identity last season. – XINHUA
