WINDHOEK, March 22 — President Hage Geingob earlier today recommended extending visiting visas for business people from other African countries to Namibia be extended to five years.
Speaking at the Namibian State House in Windhoek where President of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta and senior government officials from the two countries were deliberating on their bilateral relations, Geingob said “When I assumed the office I said Africa must move freely, and business people are coming and you are giving them one entry visas, how then will they come and follow up their businesses.”
He further explained that free movement in Africa could advance brain circulation and development within the region, instead of brain drain where Africans instead move to European countries.
Currently, visiting visas for business people from other countries Namibia has a ceiling of three months per year. – NDN Staffer
