WINDHOEK, JUNE 18 – This week MTC announced the first winners of the #Connect for Good Campaign, a recharge competition courtesy of MTCs partnership with Engen, Vivo, Agra, Kaap Agri and Shoprite in effort to give back to consumers.
The competition was launched on 31 May 2019 and saw the 110 winners for the first week walk away with vouchers worth N$3000 each.
An average of 10 daily winners were drawn amounting to 110 winners by last Tuesday.
“Overjoyed winners could not hide their excitement when reached last week, with many opting for food and fuel vouchers,” according to a statement from MTC.
For every N$10 recharge voucher, customers will receive 1 point, which adds up with every subsequent N$10 for entry in the monthly draw.
A daily recharge transaction only enters the customer in the daily draw of that day and as such their chances to win are limited to the number of times and participation for that day only.
“Think of it like this, if you paid up your account by say, N$500, you automatically get 50 points, thereby increasing your chances of getting any one of the 10 daily vouchers worth N$3000,” said the statement.
Participants accumulate points in the month towards the grand prize of N$10 000 for 16 lucky winners at the end of every month. Also, if you prepay or top up, you add another 20 points to the existing points your paid-up account already guarantees you.
For the monthly draw Post-paid customers will receive 1 point for each N$ 10.00 of their invoice amount.
In total, MTC will be giving away N$30 000 in vouchers daily, and a “whopping” N$160 000 every month.
These vouchers are for fuel, groceries and any farm materials of which winners will appreciate in reference to the dire economic times which are also partly influenced by climate change.
“We would like to congratulate our winners. This is one of many innovative ways that MTC strives to reward and play an important role in giving back to our clients. The vouchers are for fuel, groceries or farm materials, and customers can decide which of the above they want to use their vouchers on,” said Andre de Jager, MTC Acting Chief Commercial Officer, adding that the vouchers are redeemable at Agra, Kaap Agri, Shoprite and selected Service Stations.
This competition, which runs until 31 August 2019, is open to all MTC Customers (both prepaid customers and postpaid customers). Customers will be entered automatically into the draw and MTC will contact winners via telephone. – NDN Staffer
