Man dies on Solitaire-Maltahöhe gravel road

REHOBOTH, 15 AUG  – A 42-year-old Namibian man died on the spot on the C19 Solitaire-Maltahöhe road on Tuesday, after he lost control of the car he was driving and it left the road and overturned.
Namibian Police Force Crime Investigations Coordinator for the Hardap Region, Deputy Commissioner Eric Clay told Nampa on Wednesday the accident happened between 23h00 and 00h00, approximately 40 kilometres from Solitaire.
“It is alleged that the driver of a Silver VW Passat with Windhoek registration lost control of the vehicle and it left the road and overturned, driver was killed on the spot and two passengers survived the accident without any injuries,” Clay said.
The fatal accident was the second on that road this month after another man died on 01 August between Sesriem and Solitaire after he lost control of the Nissan NP200 he was driving.
