WINDHOEK, JUNE 10 – Another exciting FNB Classic Clash took place at the weekend between host, Kuisebmund Secondary School and S.I. Gobs from Omaruru.
The high paced match kicked off at the Kuisebmund Stadium on Friday afternoon, with hosts claiming a 3-2 victory. S.I. Gobs goalie showcased the first great save of the match eight minutes into the first half, followed by a quick free kick, which went over the posts.
S.I. Gobs had great passing skills but ultimately lost control of the ball, giving Kuisebmund Secondary School the possession they needed to go on the attack. Despite S.I. Gobs goalie saving two more concurrent attempts on his goal, the first goal of match was scored by Ndjai Uazepaune from Kuisebmund Secondary, bringing the score to 1 – 0 at half time.
In the second half, Kuisebmund Secondary was awarded a penalty which easily found the back of the net, giving the hosts a 2 – 0 lead. The visitors made a quick comeback with Denzyl Boys, scoring their first goal and a subsequent penalty to equalize.
The exciting second half saw Kuisebmund Secondary get a red card for rough play, putting the pressure on as Kuisebmund Secondary now played with one man down. A hand ball at the S.I Gobs goal post resulted in a goal for the hosts, bringing the final score to 3 – 2.
The final goal of the day was scored by Kuisebmund Secondary’s number 14, Mbakondja Tjahikika, who was also awarded Man of the Match. Namusha Shiwamwenyo was the FNB Classic Clash Hero of the day.
