WINDHOEK, 11 APR – The 15-year-old girl who was arrested with cannabis in her possession at Khorixas on Saturday, was released on warning by the Khorixas Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
Crime investigations coordinator of the Namibian Police Force (Nampol) in Kunene, Deputy Commissioner Rudolf Kanyetu told Nampa on enquiry Tuesday the case has been postponed to 20 June 2018 to allow for further investigation.
Kanyetu said they are trying to establish who the girl got the four parcels of cannabis from.
The girl was arrested when police officers were called to attend to a case of theft at the house where the girl was in the Donkerhoek informal settlement.
She threw the parcels under the bed in full view of the police in an attempt to get rid of it.
Kanyetu suspects that the girl is being used by a drug dealer at the town, and thus appealed to the community to expose drug dealers so they can face the law.
