KEETMANSHOOP, 21 AUG – The Keetmanshoop Show Society said they are ready to host a remarkable, better and bigger Keetmanshoop Agricultural Industrial and Tourism Expo.
Speaking to Nampa on yesterday, president of the society, Charles Josob said the expo will take place from 12-15 September 2018 and is marked as the 62nd time since its commencement in 1956.
He said the team is at an advanced stage in terms of preparations for the expo and is ready to host the annual event.
Josob also noted that the name of the expo would be changed to accommodate the growth of the tourism industry and that the new name would be announced at the gala dinner to raise funds for the event scheduled to take place at the end of August.
The expo aims to bring together partners in trading and building economic friendships for the prosperity of the town of Keetmanshoop and the nation at large, said Josob.
Exhibitors from all over Namibia and South Africa are expected to showcase their products.
This year’s expo will also feature a music bash, comedy night, children-friendly TV games and motor sports.
“Other features are the snake park, dog show, livestock auction, school arts competition and traditional food stalls. The event gives equal opportunity for small business to sell products and services,” noted Josob.
