This innovative offering represents a significant milestone in Namibia’s banking sector, with Geyser emphasizing that this new platform is designed to empower website visitors to verify Bank Confirmation Letters generated through its channels, thereby enhancing security and combating fraud.
Geyser explained that the Bank Confirmation Letter validation site fulfils two essential requirements. “In the initial stages of digitizing confirmation letters, recipients often required a means of validation to mitigate the risk of fraudulent activities. With this enhanced security feature, recipients can input the account number and reference number, allowing the system to cross-reference the information. If a match is found in our records, the generated letter is returned, which recipients can then compare with the received document as an additional layer of authentication.”
