ONGWEDIVA, Oct. 18 — At the Eenhana Heroes Shrine in the Ohangwena district on Tuesday, the current vice-president of the Swapo party paid respects to the martyrs of the liberation war.
As part of her campaign, Netumbo, who is reportedly the front-runner in the vice presidential race, is anticipated to keep her position at the 7th upcoming Swapo party Congress, which is scheduled for November later this year.
According to information provided by their party, Netumbo, who also hails from the Ohangwena region, is scheduled to meet with Swapo party delegates of the region tomorrow, Wednesday, at 14h00.
She expected to compete against prime minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila and Pohamba Shifeta, who had previously rejected to drop out of the contest and accused his rivals of using unfair tactics.
