KATIMA MULILO, May 10 – The financial Literacy Initiative (FLI) which falls under the Ministry of Finance and the Katima Mulilo town council will host a two-week programme to benefit 150 Micro and SME entrepreneurs in the region.
The programme is aimed at educating the entrepreneurs on the financial challenges they face such as starting, maintaining and running the business to encourage and help them define the guidelines for the conduct of business.
The training will focus on basic financial management issues they face on a daily basis.
This is the first time that the FLI programme has come to Katima Mulilo and the organisers hope it will be well-received as Katima Mulilo has one of the biggest markets in the country.

FLI expect participants to be committed to the training as this will give them the knowledge that will sustain their businesses.
Katima Mulilo town council CEO Raphael Liswaniso expressed hope that the training will boost the growth of entrepreneurs ad their enterprises within the region.
Watson Kalaluka, the councillor responsible for the Micro and SME entrepreneurs said such training will increase the general capacity of the business owners to manage business finances and make sound financial decisions in their businesses.
The training programme will run for five days after which the participants will receive a certificate.
